Welcome to Picture Garden, an OKC based arts organization aimed at cultivating an analog filmmaking community. For nearly a decade, we’ve been shooting super 8 and 16mm, animating by scratching and painting directly onto film, hand-processing, and projecting film. We believe that analog filmmaking is an honest companion in the pursuit of expression and we want to share that with you by increasing opportunities to learn, share, and project work on film. We’re kicking things off with monthly meetups and workshops – join us at the link below!

Our next event will be another Direct Animation Workshop at ARTSPACE at Untitled on December 12th, starting at 7:00 pm and lasting until around 9:30. It will run similarly to our last Direct Animation workshop, but this time participants can choose a song if they’d like to accompany their animation. There will be black or clear leader to choose from, as well as tape for masking. The workshop is free to attend and materials are provided, but space is limited so please register at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C044CAAAB28A2FAC61-60634030-direct. We will try to provide light snacks and there will be a cash bar open at ARTSPACE during the event.
